Frequently Asked Questions. Common questions about using our Amazon Link Shortener - Clean Affiliate & Product URLs.
Is using a link shortener allowed by Amazon Associates?
Yes, as long as you follow Amazon's rules: clearly state that you earn a commission (e.g. 'As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases') and send visitors directly to Amazon without intermediate landing pages.
Will my affiliate commission still work?
Yes. Recut recognizes your ?tag= parameter and leaves it on the link, so Amazon knows to credit the sale to you.
What extra stuff does this tool clean out?
It removes query codes like ref=, qid=, sr=, and temporary session codes that make Amazon links 200 characters long.
Can I use my own website name on the link?
Yes. You can connect your own domain (like deals.yoursite.com/item) so your links match your brand.
Can I change the destination product if an item goes out of stock?
Yes. Because Recut links are dynamic, you can update the destination URL to an updated model or alternative product without changing the link in your content.
